Evelyn
Adams - President
Evelyn Adams is the author and illustrator of
the children's book series, "Stories From Vic". She is
a resident of Midland and is a retired teacher from the Western
Beaver School District. Her lifelong interest in the arts has motivated
her to try its many venues. Over her lifetime, she has composed

Archer
Thomas Tyler Archer is a graduate of East Liverpool
High School (1957), Youngstown State University, and the University
of Georgia School of Executive Development. Besides serving as President
and Board Member for Potters Savings Bank, Archer is also treasurer
of Tri-State Arts Inc., a member of the Ohio Art Education Association,
the Midland Arts Council, and YMCA. |

Cassie
Brkich
Cassie Brkich is a freelance graphic designer and
proud native of Midland. A graduate of Duquesne University, her credits
include websites, book covers, billboards, print ads and more. Currently,
Cassie lives in nearby Bridgewater with her husband, Val; however,
she remains an active member of Midland community by serving on the

Karen
Carland - Secretary
Karen
S. Carland is a retired educator and co-founder of "The Digital
Pens", which develops and presents workshops for improving student
writing. Karen received a B.S. in Education at Indiana Univ. of PA
and an M.S. in Education from Duquesne Univ. Karen has received various
awards for Distinguished Teaching, Creative Publishing & Writing,
Outstanding Educational Endeavors and Innovative Publishing. She also
enjoys working as an artistic bookbinder. |

Connie
Fields
Connie Fields began her graphic
art career at the Art Institute of Pgh. and finished at Pitt. She
was hired at Walt Disney World when it first opened in Florida. Upon
returning to Beaver County, she worked as Promotions Executive at
Calkins Media. Connie now owns Fields Creative, and works with several
non-profit organizations. She is showing her fine arts skills at Merrick
Art Gallery. She resides in Brighton Twp with her husband, Hershell,
and her son, Dom. |

Patience
Katich
Patience Katich is a lifelong
resident of Midland. A graduate of Midland High School and Penn State
University, she is a retired science teacher of 33 years. Patience
actively serves the Midland community as vice president of the Midland
Development Corporation, president of the Lincoln Park Performing
Arts Charter School Board, and president of the Midland Heritage Project.
Patience is also a member of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center
Board of Directors, the Beaver County PASR, the Beaver County Industrial
Museum Board, and the Midland Arts Council.

Don
Nelson - Vice President
After receiving a B.A. in Art Education from Edinboro University,
Don
Nelson went on to
earn a Master of Arts degree from West Virginia University. Don
was an art educator at Western Beaver School District, where he was
nominated for the PAEA Outstanding Art Educator award. Don is a talented
artist who has won various awards and has studied with some of the
best in his field. Recently, he received an award from the Pittsburgh
Watercolor Society in their members' exhibit "Waterworks 2006." |

Larry
Novak
Larry is a graduate of I.U.P.
and did master's work at Carnegie-Mellon University. He taught Advanced
Art at Midland High School and for the Beaver Art Group and owned
the Eaglenest Art Gallery in Beaver. He is a past president of the
Western Beaver Board of Ed., the Beaver County Art Teachers' Assoc.
and the Midland Ed. Assoc. He was on the board of Scholastic Magazine
Art Contest held annually at Kaufmann's downtown. He has sold many
paintings and has received many awards throughout his career.

Sharon
Speerhas - Treasurer
Sharon Speerhas is a Financial
Services Representative with MetLife, where she is since returning
to western PA 2 years ago. Sharon worked in Baltimore, MD for seven
years in financial services before returning. She currently lives
in Ambridge, but is proud to call Midland her home. Her belief in
supporting the arts drives her work with non-profits. Sharon is also
a member of the Board of Directors of The
Merrick Art Gallery and the Pittsburgh
New Music Ensemble (PNME). |
